The Captain
The sea has always been an inseparable part of my life. After graduating from the Aspropyrgos Merchant Marine Academy, I spent several years working aboard oil tankers, traveling to different corners of the world.
Yet no matter how far my work took me, Spetses always remained my point of reference, the place I longed to return to. My deep love for the island eventually brought me back, with the desire to invest in it and contribute, in my own way, to its life and future.
I grew up in a family with strong ties to the sea. Like my father and grandfather before me, I believe that hospitality is much more than a service. It is a way of sharing the place you love and creating meaningful, authentic experiences for those who visit it.
Through these excursions, I hope to introduce you to Spetses as I know and love it. To explore its waters together at an unhurried pace, allowing ourselves to truly experience their beauty. With respect for the island’s history, appreciation for its traditions, and admiration for all the little details that make this place so genuinely special.
The Boat
Our boat is a traditional Greek trechantiri, measuring 12 metres in length and built by the legendary Manolis Psarros, one of the last true master wooden boatbuilders in Greece.
The trechantiri is widely regarded as one of the most successful and enduring designs in Greek maritime tradition. Its wide hull provides exceptional stability and a smooth, comfortable ride, even when the sea is less than perfectly calm. At the same time, its spacious deck offers plenty of room to relax, soak up the sun, and move around freely on board.
Its thoughtful design ensures comfort throughout the journey, whether the boat is cruising through the water or anchored in a secluded bay. At the same time, it preserves the authentic character of the traditional Greek kaiki, creating a warm and welcoming setting for every kind of sea excursion.
